Edinburgh-born country and folk singer-songwriter, KT Tunstall, today announced on Radio One's Scott Mills show that she has finished recording her latest album, Tiger Suit, which has a release date of 20th September 2010 and is now making plans to begin a new UK tour.

The first single from the new album to be released is (Still a) Weirdo which, KT says, is about how life as you get older doesn't necessarily work out the way you imagine when you are a child.

The album has been recorded at the Hansa Studio in Berlin. KT said "I had an amazing three weeks recording in Hansa in Berlin in January and am finishing it all off in London. I am still very much alive and have every music-making limb and muscle working in my laboratory of fierce-new-album-ness."

In February of this year KT performed a short set at the Haiti fundraising gig at the Camden Roundhouse. She had hoped to team up with friend Seasick Steve and to this end said of the event, "My shizzle will feature some new faces and definitely some new songs, so come and have a listen and chuck some dough at a good cause."

UPDATE - 11 October 2010: KT Tunstall today announced the dates of her 2011 tour of the UK and Ireland. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 15th October.
