Britpop Band Cast Reform & Announce New Tour Dates

24th June 2010

John Power, the former frontman of Cast, has announced that the band is to reform and will play a number of gigs later in the year. Details of the reformation first came to light in an interview given by John Power to the NME, in which he spoke about how he contacted his former band mates with the idea of getting back together.

It is almost 15 years since Cast released their debut album All Change, which went double-platinum.

The BBC memorably played Cast's Walkaway at the end of their coverage of the England v Germany semi-final at Euro 96. England lost the match on penalties. Let's hope that Cast's reformation doesn't herald another England loss to Germany this Sunday!

Cast have so far announced four gigs planned for November and December.

Update 8th July 2010: Cast have added a further eight gigs to their upcoming tour, due to phenomenal demand for tickets.

Update 4th August 2010: Due to further strong demand for tickets, Cast have added a third date at the O2 Academy in Liverpool. The new date has been set for the 9th December.
