Meat Loaf Announces 2013 Farewell UK Tour

18th December 2012

Legendary rock 'n' roller Meat Loaf has announced a new UK tour to take place in April 2013. The tour, which is being promoted as a 'Farewell Tour', is likely to be Meat Loaf's last full UK arena tour, but it promises to be one of his best.

Each concert on the tour will take the form of a two-act show. The first act will feature some of Meat Loaf's greatest hits, including Dead Ringer For Love and I'd Lie For You (And That's the Truth). The second act will then see Meat Loaf perform his classic album, Bat Out Of Hell, in its entirety.

Meat Loaf will perform the following dates on his 'Last At Bat' farewell UK tour:

  • Newcastle Arena - 5th April 2013
  • Glasgow SECC - 7th April 2013
  • London O2 Arena - 10th April 2013
  • Birmingham LG Arena - 12th April 2013
  • Nottingham Arena - 14th April 2013
  • Manchester Arena - 17th April 2013
  • Sheffield Motorpoint Arena - 19th April 2013
  • Cardiff Motorpoint Arena - 21st April 2013

Speaking about his farewell tour, Meat Loaf said: "When Jim and I first came together, we couldn't have dreamt the profound effect Bat Out Of Hell would have on both our lives, and the lives of our fans around the world. I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together."

Tickets for Meat Loaf's farewell UK tour will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 21st December.
