Marc Almond

Born Peter Mark Sinclair Almond in 1957, Marc Almond's success owes much to his time in Soft Cell. Their best known single, Tainted Love reached number one in the UK singles chart. Soft Cell split in 1984 and later reformed in 2001. Marc Almond released a string of singles and albums between this time and his collaboration with Gene Pitney with Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart also reached number one in 1988.
