St David's Hall, Cardiff

St David's Hall, Cardiff

Located in the very heart of Cardiff city centre, St David's Hall was originally opened in August 1982. Work continued on the hall for the following months and it was officially opened by the Queen Mother in February 1983.

St David's Hall hosts the annual Welsh Proms as well as the Cardiff Singer of the World competition and has been a preferred venue for comedians, musicians and entertainers alike since it opened.

The acoustics are perfect for orchestras but they were improved to give a better quality of sound for amplified music in 2005.

St David's Hall can seat 2000 people and also houses a restaurant, several bars and office space. The hall is owned and managed by Cardiff Council.
