Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool

Costing the equivalent of £2.3 million to construct, the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool originally opened in 1849 but was destroyed by a fire in 1933. The new Hall opened in 1939 with its inaugural concert being conducted my Sir Thomas Beecham. The Hall is now host to around 250 concerts every year ranging from classical to rock to comedy.
