Red Hot Chili Peppers
Red Hot Chili Peppers unique mix of funk, punk and hard rock have made them one of the most recognisable and popular bands on the planet. Originally formed in Los Angeles in the mid-80s, the Chilis had to wait until the release of their fourth album, Mother's Milk in 1989, before they gained widespread popularity.
Red Hot Chili Peppers subsequent 5 albums - Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), One Hot Minute (1995), Californication (1999), By the Way (2002) and Stadium Arcadium (2006) - all went multi-platinum and became the soundtrack of a generation. The Chilis latest album, I'm With You, went straight to number one in the UK charts following its release in August 2011.
Energetic and often improvised performances, plus an incredible back catalogue of hits, make the Red Hot Chili Peppers a 'must-see' live act whenever they go on tour.
Red Hot Chili Peppers performed two massive open-air shows - in Knebworth and Sunderland - during the summer of 2012.
